My friends Nancy and Joseph came down Saturday to hike this end of the county, so I took them to the Mendoza Ranch entrance to Harvey Bear County Park. We had a nice hike around Mummy Mountain, about 4 miles.
Nice view of Coyote Lake from the top of Mummy Mountain
On Sunday I took a hard two and a half hour ride on my recumbent bike. The first hour and a half was running at a fast pace, keeping my heart rate at around 120. Then I did a bunch of intervals of varying lengths, followed by some recovery time. I felt good at the end, although I was a little sore the next day. But an easier recovery on Monday made me feel much better.
Beautiful skies early in the morning Monday. I was trying to capture the partial eclipse of the Sun, but it didn’t appear due to the glare.Beautiful rural view from Coyote Creek Trail
